I moved 450 miles closer to my friends who live in other states, right?
So… I decided that it’s time for my friends to ante up and move at least 450 miles closer to ME. That’s right… all you people in other states… start packing. You live in Maryland? How about somewhere in the Carolinas. Ohio? I’m thinking Virginia. You two J’s in Florida? How does Atlanta sound to you now?
Ya’ll need to start heading in the direction of Georgia. I’m serious. I’ve done my part – now it’s your turn.
It’s only fair.
The local weatherman’s name is Flip Spiceland. That’s his name. Seriously. Don’t you think there’s something wrong with that? I’m thinking that Flip isn’t his *real* first name… but if you were a so-called professional on TV and your last name was reallly close to a fictional place from the game Candy Land, wouldn’t you change it so people would take your seriously? I’m mesmerized every time I see the name Flip Spiceland come up on the screen.
There used to be a news reporter in South Florida named Cinnamon Stouffer. She’s now on CNN and changed her first name to Linda. See – that’s more like it.
This weekend I spent a lot of time with the Moats family. Thank goodness their kids let me love on them. Libby was so sweet about letting me snuggle with her for a bit. On Sunday I went to church with them (you can get up off the floor now) to see Marti in her theatrical debut. She rocked it. She was completely natural on stage & didn’t look like she was ‘acting’ at all. I was so proud of her. I took pictures. Lewis said that the church allowed flash photography – and who cares if I was the only one with a camera. They were all nice about it… I mean, they had to be.. right? Or they’d go to Hell? (ha! kidding – sort of)
After the church service – which I actually enjoyed – we went to the big effin mall way far out there near Archiver’s.
Little Libby got her ears pierced! That girl impressed me big time. She barely flinched and didn’t shed a tear. It was so inspiring that Marti decided to get an extra hole in her head (to match the other side). **Click on Marti’s name to see pics of The Brave Olivia**
If Marti and little Olivia were to have had a flinching contest – little Libs would have won. Look at this expression:
I’m so thankful to have Marti and her family in my life… and to get to share these moments with her and her family.
I got the keys to the house today… so exciting! Here’s the living room:
Two more days until I go to Orlando. Two more days until I get to hug and kiss the kids.
